Thundering Hammers


Thundering Hammers is the 21st Self-Defense Technique in Green Belt.

This technique is a defense against a right punch with opponent's right foot back but can also be done when the opponent steps in with the right foot. The Technique as done here the opponent will step in with the right foot.

The basics used are: the Fighting Horse Stance, the Inward Block, Reverse Hammerfist Strike, Hammer Fist Strike, Cover Hand, Backfist Strike, Tiger's Claw Strike.

The targets for the strikes are: Outside of opponent's punching arm, groin, kidneys, opponent's neck, temple, and face.

  

The opponent approaches you.

  

The opponent throws a right punch.

As the opponent steps in with his right and throws the right punch step with left foot to 11:00 into a solid Fighting Horse Stance and throw a left Inward Block to the outside of the opponent's punching arm. Your right hand in a Reverse Hammer Fist Strike is fully extended down by your right side.


Pivot to a Soft Bow and throw a right Reverse Hammer Fist to the opponent's groin as your left hand in a fist is cocked above your head.


Pivot to a Soft Bow and deliver a left Hammer Fist to the opponent's kidney as your right hand in a fist is cocked above your head.


Pivot back to a Fighting Horse Stance and throw a right Hammer Fist Strike to the opponent's neck as your left hand goes to a Cover position.



Sweep back with your left foot 180' to 6:00.


As you sweep back with left and throw a snapping Backfist to the opponent's right temple.



Shuffle straight forward to 12:00 with your right foot into the opponent.



As you shuffle strike up with a right Tiger's Claw to the opponent's face.


Once the opponent is down maintain a defensive stance.
