Tony Niebank
Nidan
(2nd Degree Black Belt)

Tony Niebank started his martial arts training in 1988 at Ernie Reyes West Coast Martial Arts in San Jose California.  However as with many of us reality intruded and he was forced to suspend his martial arts training after only one year.

In 1995 he returned to martial arts training, in Bok Fu Do, a hybrid of Tracy’s, American Kenpo, and Praying Mantis Kung Fu.  Under Grand Master Richard Lee, in his Alamo California studio, Mr. Niebank trained for the next three years and attained the rank of Sankyu (3rd Degree Brown Belt). Then once again life intruded in the form of a job transfer to Atlanta Georgia.

For the next three years he studied American Karate in Fayetteville Georgia. After quickly achieving his first black belt in May of 2001, a mere thirteen years after beginning his training, he knew there was more to learn than American Karate could offer.

After experiencing the good the bad and the ugly of martial arts schools, Mr. Niebank sought out Master Pat Munk and renewed his dedication to Kenpo.  In July of 2003 he earned his Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt) rank from Master Munk.  Mr. Niebank now owns and operates Octagon Self Defense in Austell Georgia, teaching the Tracy System of Kenpo, still under the tutelage of Master Munk. Mr. Niebank earned and received his Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt) from Master Munk on October 26th, 2004.
