Shichidan
(7th Degree Black Belt)

My first encounter with the martial arts was in 1969 at Yates Park Field House, on the south side of Chicago, with black belts from Judo.  This was a mixture of Judo, wrestling and karate that was taught on Saturday mornings every other week.  I started the Tracy System of Kenpo Karate in the early 70’s and became Night Manager of the Evergreen Park Self Defense School by 1974.  Managing and teaching continued throughout the years in the Chicago area as well as traveling to compete and judge at tournaments throughout the country representing the Tracy System.  Managing and teaching the Tracy System of Kenpo has been a valuable responsibility that continues to this day.   Along with teaching The Tracy System of Kenpo Karate  in the studio, some other responsibilities to the martial arts have been undertaken such as judging at tournaments and running entire tournaments for promoters.

Grand Master Al Tracy awarded me the rank of Shichidan (7th degree black belt) in 2002 and I presently am Senior Instructor at Self Defense Studio teamed up with Becky Mornar.  The martial arts has been a driving force in my life, something that I have dedicated my time and efforts to for over 30 years.
